Book of Ra and Co. available: Greentube is back to the German Market

The long wait is over: For a few days now, the popular Novomatic slot machines can be played online again in Germany. With the entry into force of the new State Treaty on Gaming (GlüStV), Greentube has returned to the German market. From now on, German players can play Book of Ra and Co. online again.

As early as November 2020, we reported that the Novomatic subsidiary was preparing to return to the German Online Casinos. Since then it has become very quiet at times about the gambling giant and its ambitious project. But just in time for the new GlüStV to come into force on July 1, 2021, Greentube has now returned to the German online gaming market. But where can players now safely play the popular online slots?

StarGames is reopening its doors to real money players

For several years, StarGames visitors were only able to play with play money currency on the online platform. After around four years, the operators have awakened StarGames from its slumber and activated real money mode. This means that gambling fans residing in Germany can now use the legendary “Novoliner” such as Book of Ra ™, Lucky Lady’s Charm ™, Lord of the Ocean ™ or Dolphin’s Pearl ™ online again. In addition, there are of course other “Novoline hits” such as Sizzling Hot ™, Ultra Hot Deluxe ™ or Columbus ™ available. A total of around 100 original Novoline slots are currently available at StarGames.

The managing director of Greentube Malta, Trevor de Giorgio, is happy about the return to the German market:

“We are very proud of the team, which worked with great dedication and technical expertise to be able to meet all the requirements. The StarGames website is secure and the perfect place for players from Germany to enjoy the best Novoline games ”.

GlüStV: Greentube implements all player protection regulations

In a press release, the Novomatic subsidiary Greentube emphasizes that all player protection measures are of course observed. After all, Greentube was one of the first gaming companies to secure a coveted German gaming license. Understandably, Greentube endeavors to implement all regulations in order not to risk fines or even the loss of their license. This means that the following restrictions have been in effect at StarGames since July 1, 2021:

  • Maximum bet of one euro per spin
  • There is a break between two rounds of the game (“5 seconds rule”)
  • Autospin feature is deactivated
  • A maximum of EUR 1,000 can be deposited per month and per player
  • Progressive jackpot slots are not available (e.g. Thunder Cash)

Greentube recaptures the European market

At the end of 2017, Novomatic announced that it wanted to withdraw completely from the German online gaming market. As a result, it was no longer possible in any online casino to play the coveted online slots such as Book of Ra ™ or Dolphin’s Pearl ™ online for real money.

Meanwhile, Greentube is gradually returning to the European online gaming market. For example, it wasn’t until the end of March that we reported on the launch of Greentube’s online service in Poland. Some time later, in June, we reported that Greentube was expanding its cooperation with the land-based Swiss Casino Du La Genève. Since then, the Novoline slots have also been fully available online again for players at Switzerland Online Casinos.

After around four years, German players can finally play the popular Novoline slots online again. Since July 1, 2021, the popular slot machines such as Lord of the Ocean ™, Sizzling Hot Deluxe ™, Lucky Lady’s Charm ™, Book of Ra ™ and Hot Cherry Deluxe ™ are again available at StarGames in real money mode. It cannot be ruled out that Novomatic will grant other licensed online game libraries a corresponding license in the coming months so that the “Novoliners” can also be used again by other reputable online casinos.
